Professional Lacrosse Partnership

Champion redesigned all eight of the Premier Lacrosse League’s (PLL) team uniforms for the 2023 season. Working in collaboration with the PLL athletes and the PLL creative team the design process involved many steps and high attention to detail.

As Design Coordinator I had to manage the exciting task of creating production files for both home and away jerseys. The files were then utilized by the art team to setup completely custom Sublimated uniforms. All told some 200 files were prepped and developed by myself and the talented PD team with Champion Teamwear.

A couple of interesting challenges included developing sublimated artwork with top-applied logos in mind, ensuring no patches overlapped mascot logos. The uniforms were custom scaled across sizes adult XS-3X. All logos had to meet PLL standards as well as meet production standards.

The cross department collaboration proved to be an enriching experience as a designer - expertly high attention to detail and effective communication were a pillar in the process to provide each player with a fully unique uniform.
