Design Featured in Champion Launch

As part of an exciting new expansion to Champion’s sport markets the launch into gymnastics offered both challenges and opportunities. As a recent member of the Champion Product Design Team in the role of Scaling Artist, I was given a chance to submit my own designs and managed to have several designs not only chosen but featured on Teamwear’s catalog cover & social media feed.

I discovered the creative endeavor to embrace elegance and fluidity in leotard design was incredibly rewarding when executed well.

Sports market uniform design often demand sleek and minimalist style, providing ample area for custom names/numbers/artwork to be visible - by contrast the gymnast utilizes the uniform as a compliment to their training and art requiring intricate detail that is both understated yet evocative, a tricky aesthetic to pinpoint - yet beautiful once achieved.

The design process was years in the making and seeing my final proofs on body for the launch on socials was unreal -
